Self-Hypnosis for Insomnia and Sleep Disorders

The hypnotic state itself is very relaxing and it is sometimes very difficult not to fall asleep when you learn self-hypnosis and relaxation. Sometimes, learning self-hypnosis is just enough to radically improve your sleeping patterns. When you learn how to physically relax in the hypnotic state, the good sleep follows. My clients often start sleeping much better after the first session of hypnotherapy, when they learn relaxation and self-hypnosis

How self-hypnosis will help you to cure insomnia

  1. Self-hypnosis will help you to release stress and anxiety.

The most common reason for insomnia and sleep disorders is prolonged stress and anxiety. When you are stressed, your mind is full of racing thoughts and worries and it seems impossible to calm it down. When you cannot sleep, you cannot rest and a vicious circle forms, because now you are also worrying about not sleeping. Self-hypnosis is the best tool to achieve whole body and mind relaxation, not comparable with any other self-help method. Very often it is just enough to learn how to relax and how to deal with stress and worries, and the sleepless nights become history. 2. You will change the old habits of worrying and not sleeping.

Sometimes there are deeper reasons for insomnia and sleep disorders. Sometimes some events from the past are the cause of sleepless nights. It might be that you experienced a very stressful situation years ago and you formed a habit of not sleeping. Now the stress may be long forgotten, but you still cannot sleep because you just have a habit of not sleeping, you are worrying about sleepless nights, you expect not to sleep, and as you are also physically tired, the sleeping issue may become an obsession and anxiety itself. Since habits form in the subconscious level of your mind, it is difficult to fight them with logic and rational thinking, but it is very easy to change your habits when you are in hypnosis. When you learn self-hypnosis, you will be able to do it yourself.

Sometimes insomnia is caused by even more difficult events from the past – by past trauma or deep fears and insecurities that are difficult to face. Insomnia may be a symptom of depression, which may also have roots in the past. In this situation it is better to have a few private hypnotherapy sessions to let the trauma and strong fears go. Depression and strong distress requires more than self-hypnosis. I will be happy to provide you with all the help and support you need to release the old trauma, if any, and to solve the depression.
