The fear of public performance is usually a phobia, an irrational fear, which compels us to avoid public performance at any cost. Sometimes the fear is so strong that it leads to panic attacks or a career change. The fear of public performance often affects people who are professional performers, actors, singers or musicians, and it may turn life into a nightmare.


Often the fear of public performance is easy to solve in self-hypnosis, because it is related to some failure during school years or later. In this case it can be solved in self-help mode. Professional performers, actors and singers usually prefer private sessions, perhaps because the distress is too strong. Private sessions provide more privacy and are more tailored to the needs of the client.
